Alyson was sitting on Aunt Bev's lap saying good night to her. Her hands were positioned with one on top of each of Bev's breasts. As Alyson got up, she pressed down and exclaimed, "These are soft!"

On the way home this afternoon, Alyson kept saying "Gesundheit" over and over even though no one had sneezed.
Alyson: Gesundheit!
Me: No one sneezed.
Alyson: The tree sneezed.
Me: You're silly.
Alyson: I was made to be silly. That's how God made me.

Alyson loves being in the jogging stroller when Madelyn and I run. Today, though, you would have thought she ran along with us. As she got out of the stroller when we got home, she complained, "Oh, my legs hurt... from sitting in that jogging stroller the whole time!"

When we got home today, Alyson of course noticed the new DVD sitting on the TV stand. "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" came with some other stuff and I left it out. Alyson demanded, "What IS this movie and WHERE did it come from?"

Alyson may have a problem with salt. She can usually be found licking it off her food. Tonight, we had some honey-butter creamed corn with dinner that mostly tasted like honey.
Alyson: I love the corn. What's in it?
Me: Honey, butter, corn, cream cheese, and a little bit of salt and pepper.
Alyson: I love the corn because I LOVE SALT!

When we left Mass this morning, the dogs at the humane society across the train tracks from the church parking lot were barking. Alyson announced, "Those dogs are saying, 'Someone adopt me!'"

Sibling rivalry about everything, right? Tony went up into the attic to see if he could find something. Alyson stood looking longingly up at the bottom of the ladder.
Alyson: When will I get to go up and look in the attic?
Madelyn, almost taunting: Daddy has already let me climb the ladder and look in before.
